Colophon

Colophon is one of those pompous words out of the designer dictionary meaning, ‘how this site was made’. In mine, you’ll read about what I use to create mine.

Photography and Artwork

Nearly all of the graphics on this site are from a premium subscription to FreePik.com, a royalty free stock art service. Most of them have been modified to reflect the Thoughts and Designs LLC brand colors or with other minor alterations.

Most photographs were taken by me, Kimberly Eddy, using my Samsung Galaxy S22.

Professional portraits of me were predominately done by Joseph Todoroff, who serves the Thumb area of Michigan.

Other photography was sourced from FreePik or Unsplash.com, a royalty free photography website.

The primary typefaces used in this site are Bricolage Grotesque for body and Libre Baskerville for headings, available via Google Fonts.

Platform and Hosting

This website was built with WordPress.org, an open source Content Management System (CMS).

This website is hosted on NameCheap.

The Theme is Hello Elementor, with a custom theme design created using the Elementor Pro Theme Builder.

Custom post types and dynamic content were implemented using Crocoblock JetEngine. Filters were created using JetFilters.

Page speed is enhanced with a plugin called AutoOptimize.

Marketing and Analytics

I use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to monitor user behavior on this website to continuously improve the user experience based on data received.

Websites over Coffee (part of Thoughts and Designs LLC) uses withMoxie as a CRM for marketing purposes, and has implemented the withMoxie into WordPress.
