About Me

Hi, I’m Kimberly Eddy – website designer, author, and staunch believer that nothing can be beautiful unless it’s also practical. I partner with women in their second acts to create websites that work as hard as they do.

Kimberly Eddy is an author , website designer, and educator in Thomasville GA

From Michigan to Thomasville Georgia (With a Detour Through Austria)

My journey started in my home state of Michigan, where I studied design at Northern Michigan University. Post-graduation wanderlust led me to Austria for a few years – though I eventually boomeranged back to Detroit, where I met my husband Martin, a skilled tradesman who thankfully finds my coffee shop explorations endearing.

Fast forward through raising five amazing kids (now grown!), two delightful grandchildren, and a 2023 plot twist that landed us in charming Thomasville, GA. These days, I share my empty nest with Martin, our Keeshond named Indy, and two Maine Coon cats who think they run the place (spoiler alert: they do).

Why I do what I do

After my own COVID-era job loss turned into a full-time entrepreneurial adventure, I discovered my sweet spot: combining practical website design with empowering women who are ready to pursue their passion projects.

What drives me is seeing women step confidently into their next chapter, free from the tech overwhelm that often holds them back. I create websites that work as beautifully as they look, while providing a safe space where questions are welcomed and “tech talk” is translated into plain English.

From my years of working in design and marketing, I’ve learned that what you really need isn’t just another pretty website – you need someone who gets it.

Someone who understands that your life experience is your superpower, not your limitation.

Someone who’ll explain Google Analytics over a virtual coffee date without making you feel like you should have learned this yesterday.

Faith & Purpose

As a Christian, my faith shapes how I approach both business and creativity. I believe in serving others with excellence and generosity – not by plastering Bible verses everywhere, but by living out principles of respect, integrity, and genuine care for others.

It’s about actions over announcements.

This is seen in my passion for accessible web design and user experience, as well as serving my clients with my unique talents the same way I’d serve Jesus Himself if He were standing in front of me.

I trust that the creative ideas and passion projects we carry aren’t random – they’re purposeful. Whether you share my faith or not, I’m here to help you bring your vision to life with respect, authenticity, and zero judgment.

What sets me apart

I’m not your typical tech bro who’ll make you feel small for asking questions. Instead, I’m the friend who’ll explain Google Analytics over a perfectly brewed cup of coffee (and yes, I’m still drinking my way through every coffee shop within 50 miles of Thomasville).

When I’m not designing websites or writing about practical money management (ask me about the farmhouse years – it’s a doozy), you’ll find me painting, reading, or planning my next garden.

Because while I love what I do, I’m a firm believer in work-life boundaries and the restorative power of creative pursuits.

Let's partner together

Whether you’re:

  • An empty nester ready to pursue that long-held dream
  • A service-based business owner needing a website that actually converts
  • A creative entrepreneur looking for a designer who “gets it”
  • Someone who believes in making the world better through authentic work

I’d love to help bring your vision to life with a website that’s as effective as it is beautiful.

If you’re a DIY’er, I have many a la carte offers to help you out with the tricky stuff.

A few more fun facts that make me, well, me

  • I’ve written books on everything from frugal living to website copy
  • My design philosophy comes from Otto Wagner: nothing can be beautiful unless it’s also practical
  • I believe in second chances, third acts, and the power of a well-timed coffee break
  • Weekends are sacred, errors get fixed during business hours (unless something’s on fire)
  • There is nothing a bubble bath and a good book can’t fix.
  • I’m passionate about helping women find their voice online without the traditional marketing ick-factor
  • You’ll find me supporting local businesses every chance I get
  • My happy place? Independent bookstores with cozy corners and that perfect book smell
  • I’m always on the hunt for indie artists and makers to support (and yes, my walls are covered in their work)
  • My budget has a dedicated “support small business” line item
  • My faith isn’t about perfect performance but perfect love – I believe in miracles, second chances, and treating every client as if I’m serving Jesus Himself
  • I believe in living like Jesus did – serving others with compassion, grace, and excellence
  • Daily walks with Indy are non-negotiable (unless it’s over 90F) – it’s where I get my best ideas (and she gets her wiggles out)
  • I’m fluent in both website code and meme language – sometimes the perfect reaction gif says what a thousand words can’t

A little more detail on my philosophy of work, life & creativity

My Mission Statement

To make impactful website design accessible to small businesses, organizations, and entrepreneurs, helping them grow through practical beauty and authentic connection.

My Vision Statement

For purposeful businesses to thrive through web design that authentically connects, converts, and inspires

The Values that Guide my Work

Authentic Connection

I believe in working with your website designer should feel like having coffee with a new friend.

Practical Beauty

I build what works, not just what looks pretty. As Otto Wagner said, nothing can be beautiful unless it's also practical.

Spiritual Rhythms

As a Christian, I value and work within the rhythms of the day, the weeks, and the liturgical year, finding meaning, rest, and renewal in these ancient practices that connect my faith with my work.

Transformation Through Design

I believe we can change the world for the better through awesome design. Well-done design enhances and amplifies your message, and helps others understand it easier.

Nature & Well-Being

I recognize the importance of fresh air, outdoor experiences, and connection with creation for creativity, perspective, and overall well-being. Time away from screens is essential for our best work, no matter what that work is.

Lifelong Learning & Literacy

I value education, reading, and continuous learning as foundations for personal growth and societal progress. I believe in the power of literacy to transform lives and communities.

Purposeful Growth

I help clients who are driven by mission and purpose, not just profit. If your only goal is money driven, your goal is too small.

Education & Empowerment

I believe educated clients are the best clients. I guide and educate rather than mystify with jargon.

Proactive Expertise

As the expert, I don't expect clients to ask for basics like Analytics and SEO-friendly design. I provide what they need, even if they don't know to ask.

Respect & Clarity

I create a safe space for women to ask questions and learn about their online business without judgment or condescension.

Accessibility & Equity

I create websites that are accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. I believe in fostering digital equity and ensuring no one is excluded from meaningful online experiences.

Healthy Boundaries

I believe in work-life balance and maintaining clear, professional communication systems. My computer is off on evenings and weekends, and my phone use is restricted.

Community Focused

I support local small businesses and believe in building genuine connections in our communities. I believe a rising tide will life all the boats.

Authentic Marketing

I believe in helping clients market themselves without feeling manipulative or violating their conscience.

humanity & Democracy

I believe in democracy, human rights, and the dignity of all people, as we are made in the image of God.
